The Sin Committee formed in 2006 and as far as I can read from their bio, Confess is their second release. It holds 5 songs and about 21 minutes of nowadays metal/rock. Call it progressive metal, modern metal or any other (stupid) label you like, Confess is a well produced and good quality release from an upcoming band. A band that really pays attention to their PR given the completeness of their package (extended bio, lyric sheet, etc) and the website of the band.

What sets TSC apart from so many other/new bands is the quality of their songs. Surprising, variating and well structured! Prog.metal/rock has never been my first choice but with Confess they manage to immediately grab my attention and never lose it throughout the entire E.P. Points of reference are Tool, Opeth and Mastodon.
Vocalist Joris uses his voice in many different ways. He whispers, sings ‘regularly’, shouts, grunts and has a clean voice. Not all his voices are a success, the grunt for instance is great but the clean voice needs working on. He could even consider to drop that one completely given the potential of the other ones. Combined with the variating and surprising songstructures TSC provide us with a promising and interesting release to say the least.

Keep up the good songwriting, make a distinct choice in vocals and release a full length!
