THE SIN COMMITTEE’s debut EP is five tracks of driving, Melodic Metal songs that combine a great sense of variety through melody and heavier passages to create and incredibly promising collection.

An interesting thing about this album is that one of the first things I noticed upon first listen was that it is very difficult to compare this music to any other band. Its not incredibly original or genre bending, it just sounds fresh. The closest I could come up with was a less progressive sounding DISILLUSION. The entire album is available for download on the band’s site, so go take a listen yourself.

And because of that reason, I seriously recommend you stop reading this review and go check the album out. The first two tracks are the best, as is typical of shorter albums or EPs, but the entire album is worth the listen. I really love how this band manages to combine melodic choruses, similar Hard Rock from the ‘90s at points, still heavy and driving, as well as heavy riffing and harsh vocals. The whole thing kind of brilliantly washes over you and it is very well put together.
